How to save Instagram photos from other accounts?

You can easily save any Instagram photo or video to the app to view it again at a later date. And when you save an image from another user's account, it's worth noting that they won't know you've saved it, regardless of whether they follow you or not.

How to download Instagram photos to your desktop?

Due to copyright issues, Instagram does not allow you to download photos and videos from other accounts to a desktop computer or mobile device. You can only save these photos or videos to the Instagram app to watch again.

However, there is a trick that makes the opposite possible. So if you want to download Instagram photos to your desktop, follow the steps given below:

Find the Instagram photo you want to download

Go to the Instagram website and find the photo you want to download. Click on it. This will show you the preview of the photo at the top of the person's feed.

Now, you will notice that the URL in the Chrome address bar will be changed. Instead of showing Instagram username, it will now show you Instagram.com/p/####

Each Instagram photo has its own dedicated web address. If you go directly to this web address, it will only show you one photo and not the other photos in the newsfeed.

As you can see, the address of the photo is now in the address bar, just refresh your browser by clicking the refresh button. Alternatively, use Ctrl + R to view the photo's single page on Instagram.

Get the URL of the Instagram photo

Right-click on the photo and select "Inspect" from the drop-down menu. This will show you the Chrome developer console.

Although the Chrome Developer Tools are created for software developers, you have to click a few buttons to find the specific photo.

Click on the "Fonts" tab. Then click on the VP folder to expand its data.

Each photo is saved in a separate folder. Expand these folders and you will see a full size photo. Right click on the file and choose the "Open in new tab" option.

Download the photo from Instagram to your PC

Right click on the photo and choose the "Save As" button.

Now, you will get the Instagram photo of the same size as Instagram shows in the mobile app. This will be the full size image and not a screenshot.
